Degsy is a skillful midfield player who has a great deal of potential, which hopefully we will see come through this season. I saw one of his first games against Morton a couple of seasons ago and without exaggeration he was a different class. Everything he did that night was quality from his passing and runs forward to his tackling and marking. Unfortunately, he never repeated that form during the rest of the season, but maybe now, with the departure of Tommy Bryce, Degsy may be able to show us that kind of form in the role behind the front two which I think may suit him more than a more traditional central midfield role. Unfortunately, he picked up a knock against Falkirk and missed the rest of the pre-season games and looks set to miss the first couple of weeks of the season.
